Bald Knob woman killed in two-vehicle accident, three others injured

A Bald Knob woman is dead after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night that left three others injured in rural White County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Lisa Beard, 60, died of injuries suffered when the 2006 Dodge Charger she was driving west on U.S. Highway 64 collided with an eastbound 2024 GMC Yukon near Big Green Tom Lake. The fatality report noted that the Yukon crossed the center line of Highway 64, colliding with Beard’s Charger.

The driver of the Yukon, identified as Whitney Taylor, 36, of Wynne, was injured in the collision along with two minor passengers. Taylor and the two minor passengers were taken to Unity Health Hospital in Searcy for treatment of their injuries.

The report said the road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the accident, which was around 9:15 p.m.
