First Community Bank has announced Nyra Jenkins’ promotion to the position of assistant vice president, trust and wealth management officer. Jenkins joined First Community Bank in 2021 as a trust administrator and has since demonstrated exceptional dedication to her role and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers, the bank said in a release announcing her promotion.

In her new role, Jenkins (pictured) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, providing them with personalized financial solutions to help them achieve their goals.

“I am blessed and honored to step into this role,” said Jenkins. “There is great satisfaction in taking care of our customers’ needs, and I strive to be trustworthy and honest with everyone. Trust is built with consistency, and I am happy to be here and blessed to work with some amazing co-workers. The opportunities that First Community Bank gives its employees are a blessing, and I am excited to continue growing and learning in this new role.”

Jenkins brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She has spent nine years in the banking industry, including previous roles in accounts receivable, billing, and propane management. She holds a degree in accounting and business administration from Ozarka College and is pursuing trust administration certifications through Cannon Financial Institute.

Jenkins is actively involved in her community. She serves on the First Community Bank brand council and participates in the women’s mentoring program, among other local civic clubs.

“We are thrilled to have Nyra as part of our team,” said Janie Starnes, senior vice president, trust and wealth management officer/operations manager at First Community Bank. “Her dedication to our customers and her commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset to our trust and wealth management department. We look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed in her new role.”
