Kathleen Ann Morris, 73, of Cave City, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with her beloved James R. Morris at her side as always. She was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on December 29, 1950, to Ted and Emily Zalenski.

She and her beloved James married on March 15, 1974, and were together for fifty years. They were always together and she especially enjoyed their times of eating out together. They had many dogs over the years and she will be missed by Blackie, Red Man, and Maggie.

Kathleen was a very bright and independent woman.  She was opinionated, bossy and outspoken. You always knew where you stood with her. She would do anything to help people and loved with a big heart. She was selfless with her love, selfless with her time, and never complained about her own aches and pains.  She could often be heard telling anyone when they left to “call if you need anything.”

She was loved deeply by many and will be missed.  We are better for having had her in our lives. Please keep the family in your prayers.

She is survived by her husband, James, of the home; sister-in-law, Kathleen Turner; brother-in-law, Jr. Morris; brother-in-law, John Roy; Roger Morris, and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Sue Ritter; brother-in-law, Larry Little; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Emily Zalenski and a sister, Jerry Legeth.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Maxville Cemetery in Cave City with Roger Morris officiating.
