Mr. John Hurst, Jr., of Amagon, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born December 12, 1950, in Jackson County, the son of John Edward and Hazel Zella (Vanoven) Hurst.
Mr. Hurst worked as a truck driver at Diamond B Transport. He had a passion for woodworking, fishing, and fixing automobiles.
Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Thatcher) Hurst; one son, Johnathan Blake Hurst; three brothers, Carl, Gary, and Billy Joe Hurst; a great-granddaughter, Infant Maize Green; and his parents.
He is survived by one son, John “Trey” Hurst, III of Amagon; one daughter, Christy Atwell; eight grandchildren, Corinne Hess and husband, Dallas, Katye Vanyard and husband Peyton, Hannah Hurst and Brad Carter, Jordan Hurst, Lilly Green and husband, Adam, Hunter Hurst, Aidan Hurst, and Draven Hurst; nine great-grandchildren, Jaiyden, Ayce, Jacob, Dustin, Hayven, Kinleigh, Everly, Adalyn, and Lively; several nieces and nephews and friends.
