Obituary: Calvin Duncan Taylor

Calvin Duncan Taylor, 67, of Sulphur Rock passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.

He was born March 22, 1957, in Batesville to Duncan and Madrith (Garrison) Taylor.

Calvin was a strong-willed and loving homebody who loved being outdoors. He worked for Townsend for 24 years as a wastewater operator. He loved his family very much, especially Bryson. Calvin loved to watch FOX News, CSI Miami and enjoyed watching movies, especially sci-fi movies. He also collected guns and knives, liked listening to Elvis, and loved spending time with his grandson, Bryson.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Taylor (Kelly) of Desha, Brent Huckabee (Amanda) of Keo; one daughter, Meagan Goodman (Shane) of Sulphur Rock; three brothers, Marshall Taylor (Maria) of Batesville, Tommy Taylor of Sulphur Rock, Keith Taylor (Cara) of Magness; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dianna Adams Taylor, and one brother, Ricky Taylor.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Magness Missionary Baptist Church.
