First Community Bank has opened a lending center at 4900 Kavanah Boulevard in Little Rock according to Dale Cole, Chairman and chief executive officer of the organization.

“We purchased the building at the corner of Kavanaugh and Cantrell which was previously an Allied Bank branch,” said Cole.  “We have anxiously awaited an opportunity to enter the Little Rock market.”

First Community is in the process of seeking regulatory approval to become a full service banking center in the Little Rock market. Currently, the bank operates 19 full service locations in Arkansas and Missouri.

Rene’ Julian, former senior vice president for First National Bankers Bank in Little Rock, is serving in the capacity of community president for the Little Rock region. Julian brings a wealth of experience to our organization as he has worked in the banking and investments field for more than 36 years. Julian is passionate about continuing his career at a community bank. “I have always respected and admired First Community Bank from afar. In my opinion, they exemplify community banking. I have seen how they live up to their motto to put community first in every community they serve. It gives me great pleasure to become a part of such a dynamic organization.”

The Little Rock lending center will offer a variety of lending options including, commercial, retail, and home mortgage loans.

Wendy Halpin will serve as a home loan originator. Halpin will work with home loan borrowers to secure secondary market fixed rate loans for home purchases and refinances. First Community offers FHA, VA, conventional and rural housing loans in addition to other mortgage products.
