Newark TNT Fest scheduled for Sept. 9

The Newark Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced details for the 24th annual Times-N-Traditions (TNT) Festival in Newark scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9.

Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade through town. At 11 a.m., the event will move to Newark Park with games, food and craft vendors as well as live entertainment from musical acts such as the Super Swine Band, the Cummins Prison Band and the Zyndall Raney Band.

A salute for police, firefighters, EMT first responders and others will be held at 4:30 p.m. The festival will conclude with a performance by J.R. Rogers and the All Star Band at 8 p.m. and fireworks at 10:30 p.m.

Donations for admission will be $5 with kids four and under admitted free. In case of rain, all activities except the parade will be held at the Cedar Ridge High School Gym.
