‘Furry Frenzy’ toss another success Lyon College Scots basketball fans flew into a frenzy with furry toys at a recent men’s basketball game.
The fifth annual Furry Frenzy Toy Toss was held Thursday, Nov. 16, during a match-up between the Scots and the Hannibal-LaGrange University Trojans at Becknell Gymnasium.
Fans who brought furry stuffed animals and toys were admitted free to the men’s and women’s basketball games. As is the tradition, the crowd threw the goodies onto the basketball court the moment the Scots men’s team made its first basket. The stuffed toys and animals were then collected for distribution to children in need throughout the area.
The event was sponsored by Lyon College Athletics, the United Way of Independence County, and W.R.D. Entertainment.
