WRHS Welcomes New Controller

Gary L. Bebow, Administrator/CEO of White River Health System, is pleased to welcome Susan Rikoff, Controller in the Accounting Department at White River Health System (WRHS).

As the controller, Sue manages all aspects of the monthly financial reporting.  This process includes journal entries, account analysis, financial statement preparation, leading the annual audit, and miscellaneous research and analysis.

Sue has Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. She is currently working on her Master’s in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

“One of my initial interests in this role is that it will expose me to a work environment in a non-profit setting which is much different than a for-profit organization,” said Sue.  “One of my first goals is to work with my staff to learn the current processes.  I would also like to look for improvements that will allow us to work smarter, not harder.  It is important that patients remain our main focus.”

Sue’s accounting experience includes manufacturing, telecommunications; outsource accounting, and retail industries.  Her previous hospital experience includes Controller, Assistant Controller, Reimbursement Coordinator, and Senior Accountant positions.  Sue has hands-on experience with all aspects of the financial reporting process from accounts payable, payroll, and inventory, to preparing reconciliations and financial statements.  She has managed all aspects of the financial system including detailed and technical analysis, estimating contractual allowances, and working with large amounts of data.

“We are eager to welcome Sue Rikoff at WRMC,” said Gary Bebow, CEO of White River Health System.  “Her varied experience enables her to provide a fresh perspective.”

Sue and her husband, Tyler, are new residents in Batesville and are excited to make the area their home.
