Wichita, Kan.-based Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has announced a franchise agreement for three new area locations, including one in Batesville.

The chain announced in a press release today that in addition to the Batesville location, local entrepreneur Kevin Morrow will also open new Freddy’s locations in Cabot and Searcy over the next few years.

“Freddy’s is a perfect fit for these communities,” said Morrow. “I live in the area and know my neighbors will appreciate the hospitality found at Freddy’s. The food is really good, too. Whether you swing through the drive-thru on your way to a ballgame or bring your family in to unwind after a busy day, you’ll enjoy your double steakburger, and the frozen custard will leave you with a smile on your face.”

Founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon, and their friend and business partner, Scott Redler, Freddy’s features cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other items along with desserts prepared with “premium frozen custard churned fresh throughout the day,” according to the release. Freddy’s, named after the Simons’ father — a decorated World War II veteran, is a “fast-casual” restaurant and has grown to 280 locations coast-to-coast.
