Batesville City Council to discuss food trucks, garbage fees, 2018 budget and more

The Batesville City Council will hear the second readings of three ordinances concerning the Batesville Zoning Code at tonight’s meeting. One of the ordinances is in regard to planned development. Another is regarding limitations placed on local mobile food vendors, and the third concerns the establishment of food courts within the city.

Also under new business, council members will consider a resolution levying fees for trash and garbage pickup service. The resolution says the rate for residential garbage and trash pickup is set at $13.60 per month and goes into effect January 1, 2018.

The resolution also discusses rates for commercial and industrial users. The council will also consider an ordinance to adopt the 2018 budget for the city.  An executive session is also planned.

The council meets tonight at 5:30 in the Batesville Municipal Building, 500 East Main St.

Gary B. will have this story and more on Ozark Newsline, heard every weekday on Arkansas 103.3, 93 KZLE, and other W.R.D. Entertainment radio stations.
