Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds states that citizens who called his office in regards to assistance in identifying two individuals in pictures posted on the department’s website have enabled his agency to make arrests in a theft case. The two individuals listed as persons of interest have been identified as Madison Angel Malnar, 31, and James Aaron Shelton, 32, both of Fifty-Six.
They have been arrested and jailed for residential burglary and theft of property. During the course of the investigation, Shelton was also linked to another burglary in Judsonia, Ark.
Both are in custody at the Stone County Detention Center awaiting formal charges from Prosecuting Attorney Holly Meyer.
Thanks to the citizens of Stone County this case has been resolved, the department noted in a media release.
