If the flu has you under the weather this weekend, the WRMC Medical Complex Southside now has extended hours to include Saturdays and Sundays during flu season. Walk-ins are welcome, and the clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., specifically for patients suffering from the flu.
Antiviral medications are most effective when started within 48 hours of the onset of flu symptoms, according to the clinic. Flu symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, extreme fatigue, body aches, and in some cases, nausea or vomiting.
