Stone County man sentenced to 36 months for domestic battery

Circuit Judge Tim Weaver, in a recent session of Stone County Circuit Court, sentenced  James Dwayne Everidge, 39, to 36 months in prison for third-degree domestic battery. The victim was a 28-year-old female.

Everidge was also sentenced to 12 months in the Stone County Jail for endangering the welfare of a minor.

Both sentences were the result of Everidge entering a negotiated plea of guilty.  He was also given credit for 116 days in jail awaiting trial.  The sentences will run concurrently with the total being 36 months in prison.

Everidge was also ordered to pay a $2500 fine plus $520 in court costs.
