The director of the Arkansas Work Force Center in Batesville, Ben Magness, says the area unemployment rate is down to 3.8%, but jobs are still available.
Magness told White River Now’s Gary B. this morning that the state unemployment rate is at 3.7%, a far cry from the 10% rate in 2008 when the recession began.
Skilled job areas such as nursing and heavy equipment operators have jobs available as well as laborer jobs in several areas, Magness said.
