A Stone County man is in jail after he allegedly struck a female relative in the head several times. The incident occurred on Valentine’s Day, according to authorities.
Deputies found the 68-year-old victim, who had come to the Hilltop Store on Hwy. 9 South. She was treated at the scene by paramedics and then transported to the hospital.
Deputies then went to the scene of the incident on Misenheimer Road. They found Matthew Sutter, 33, and placed him under arrest, taking him to jail.
Sutter has now been charged by Prosecuting Attorney Holly Meyer, with second-degree domestic battery. Sutter has not made bond and remains in custody.
