After a date and venue change, the 2018 Polar Bear Plunge finally made a splash today at the Batesville Community Center and Aquatics Park. A large crowd was on hand to watch participating teams plunge into the chilly waters of the center’s outside pool. Temps were in the lower 40s.

Weather issues delayed the event from January to today and then late this week also prompted a move from the original venue, Pocket Park in downtown Batesville, to the city’s new park.

The 2018 Polar Bear Plunge was sponsored by Main Street Batesville to benefit Special Olympics Arkansas. For more information on Special Olympics Arkansas, please visit their website by clicking here.
