Pedestrian on Hwy. 167 in Southside, struck by vehicle and killed

A pedestrian walking in the roadway was fatally struck on Hwy. 167 in Southside by a Ford Escape on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Arkansas State Police Trooper Greg Tebbetts, in his preliminary report, said the Ford Escape was southbound, south of Community Drive, when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway identified as Pedro Rodriguez of Batesville, 38.

Trooper Tebbetts said the roadway was dry, and the weather clear at the time of the accident.  Tebbetts did not list the driver of the Ford Escape on his preliminary report to the public.
