Kelley Wyatt’s Restaurant, a longtime Batesville eatery, served its final lunch buffet today. The restaurant, which has operated off and on in Batesville at various locations since the mid-1930s, posted the following announcement on their Facebook page late yesterday afternoon:
The lunch buffet, which was famous for its southern fried chicken, was a popular destination for area diners. Check out the video of the final buffet below.
The contents of the final buffet? Spaghetti with meat sauce; roast pork and kraut; beef tips and noodles; mashed potatoes; cream gravy; seasoned turnip greens; great northern beans; California vegetables with cheese; corn on the cob; and, of course, southern fried chicken.
