A Heber Springs man was arrested yesterday after being involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Harrison Street in Batesville.

Nathan Scott Henard, 22, of Heber Springs was driving westbound on Harrison Street just past Willis Funeral Service when a witness following behind Henard noted Henard’s 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe veer sharply to the left, cross oncoming lanes, and then roll over when the vehicle hit the eastbound curb, according to the police report.

Henard was taken to the White River Medical Center with non-threatening injuries after the Batesville Fire Department, paramedics, and the Batesville Police Department (BPD) arrived at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle, Amber Boykin (the owner of the Tahoe) also of Heber Springs, was reported as non-injured.

After Henard’s name was put into the state database, BPD officer Trey Randolph discovered Hernard was driving on a suspended license and had warrants from other counties.

Hernard was placed under arrest for his warrants after being treated at the medical center. He was taken to the Independence County Jail awaiting transfer to another county.
