Newark woman charged with felony possession

siren-2

An Independence County woman may be headed back to jail after a home visit by parole officers and county deputies allegedly found three firearms in her Newark residence.

Jamey L. Durbin, 35, is a previously convicted felon on parole and has apparently absconded from her requirements as a parolee.

Officers found Durbin in a bedroom of the residence and also found three firearms (long guns) in plain view inside the residence.

Durbin was taken into custody and charged with the possession felony.  A felon cannot be in possession of a firearm. Durbin was placed on a $7,500 bond.
