Home Depot’s Branscum recognized as “Famous Arkansan”

Gov. Asa Hutchinson has joined forces with the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) to proclaim 18 “Famous Arkansans” from across the state by recognizing them for their drive and determination — not their disabilities.

Among the Famous Arkansans is Jordan Branscum of Batesville. Branscum is a 26-year-old student at the University of Arkansas Community College of Batesville, where he recently obtained a medical billing and coding certificate. He has worked at the local Home Depot for the past two years and has been recognized several times as the Employee of the Month. When he has free time, Jordan is an aspiring author of Christian science fiction.
