Batesville man charged with meth possession

A Batesville man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a felony.

The court information says Huey Eugene Mingues, Jr., 32, was deemed to be in possession of three packets of methamphetamine that was hidden in a metal container in the front passenger door panel, after a vehicle in which he was a passenger was stopped. The court record said the total amount of methamphetamine was 1-point-2 grams.

Also, Batesville Police Department patrolman Dillon Sallas, reported that the driver of the vehicle, Janie Mingues, had a small amount of marijuana on her person, which she retrieved and turned over to officers.

Huey Eugene Mingues, Jr.’s is bond is set at $15,000.
