Former Razorback Bazzel to speak at upcoming tourism banquet

A former Arkansas Razorback Football player and founder of the Frank Broyles Award will be the keynote speaker at the annual Ozark Gateway Leo Rainey Tourism Appreciation Banquet.

The event will take place at the Batesville Community Center on April 27 starting at 6 p.m.

The featured speaker, David Bazzel, was a  football player for the Razorbacks. He created the “Battle of the Golden Boot” and currently helps host “The Show With No Name” on 103.7 The Buzz in Little Rock.  Bazzel is also a member of the Arkansas State Parks, Recreation & Travel Commission.

Another highlight of the event will be the awarding of the Tom Biggs Award for outstanding achievement in area tourism and the Wilson Powell Media Support Award.
