A Floyd, Ark. man has been charged with multiple crimes in Stone County. Brent Allen Whitman, 24, was taken into custody in Cleburne County after authorities there arrested him after a pursuit with an A.T.V. that had been stolen at Gunner Pool in Stone County.
Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds says Investigator Brad Breeding interviewed Whitman in the Cleburne County Jail and at that time Whitman admitted to being involved in four incidents in Stone County. They were the Hanover Road burglary and theft, the Benson Lane breaking or entering and theft, the Gunner Pool Road breaking or entering and theft and the Sunny Fox Road theft.
The charges from these incidents of crime include: one count of residential burglary, three counts of breaking or entering, and four counts of theft.
Whitman is currently in the Stone County Jail in lieu of posting a $10,000 cash bond.
