ASU-Newport Movies in the Park starts this Saturday night (April 14) in downtown Newport with the 1985 classic, Back to the Future. A rare DeLorean car — one of only 9,000 made — will be on-hand as part of the fun.
The movie will start at dusk, approximately 7:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket (no pop-up tents please). CASA will be on hand selling refreshments.
Movies will be held in the park on Front Street unless the weather prohibits, in which case, they will be in the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce/NEDC Building.
The remainder of the summer schedule is as follows:
May 12th – Star Wars: The Last Jedi — film starts at approximately 8:00 p.m.
June 9th – Coco — film starts at approximately 8:30 p.m.
July 14th – Toy Story — film starts at approximately 8:30 p.m.
August 11th – Moana — film starts at approximately 8:00 p.m.
September 8th – Ghostbusters — film starts at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Children under 13 are recommended to be accompanied by an adult during the event.
