The Batesville School District administration found out Thursday night that a 16-year-old sophomore died. The other students at Batesville High School were told in their first class period of the death this morning.
The administration, staff, students and their families have expressed their support of the student’s family and friends during their time of grief.
Batesville High students were encouraged to talk with counselors and/or teachers about their feelings. As standard operating procedure, the body was sent to the State Crime Lab for an official cause of death.
