Arrest warrant issued for Independence County man accused of the rape of a juvenile

newsbackground-1-6

An arrest warrant has been issued for an Independence County man accused of the rape of a juvenile.

In the arrest warrant affidavit, the court record says the Independence County Sheriff’s Department became aware of a possible sexual assault of a juvenile female by the subject of the arrest warrant, William Charles Bullard, 30.

The court document said earlier this year the Child Safety Center interviewed the female juvenile, obtaining information that led to Bullard being charged in Independence County Circuit Court.

The department said Bullard is not currently in custody. Judge Chaney Taylor has set bond at $100,000.

A person convicted of a Class Y felony is subject to imprisonment for not less than 10 years nor more than 40 years, or life, and a fine not exceeding $25,000.
