A second suspect has been charged in a case last week involving the sale of marijuana from a residence on Firehouse Road in the Southside area of Independence County.

Trinity Dyer was charged in the case earlier this week. The second suspect charged is 22-year-old Juan Fernando Williams.

The lead investigator in the case, Chris Toland, said during a post-Miranda interview, Williams admitted to selling eight to ten ounces of marijuana a week.

Williams is charged in Independence County Circuit Court with maintaining a drug premises; possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver; and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to distribute marijuana.

The Prosecuting Attorney is asking the case be tried under the Habitual Offender Law since Williams has been previously convicted of four felonies dating back to 2016.

Williams’ bond has been set at $5,000.
