news-background-1-17

Two people charged with felonies entered negotiated pleas of guilty last Thursday, May 24, in Stone County Circuit Court.

Jonathan Shellstrom, 36, entered a negotiated guilty plea involving two drug charges — possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia.

Shellstrom was given a 72 months suspended sentence on the possession of Marijuana charge and 120 months suspended sentence on the drug paraphernalia charge. He was also fined $2,500 — plus court costs and given credit for 81 days spent in jail awaiting trial.  He was also given credit for the payments he had previously made on fines and court costs.

And, 22-year-old Nicole Michelle Jenner was put on 60 months probation, fined $2,500 — plus court costs, and ordered to successfully complete Drug Court after entering a negotiated plea of guilty to possession of methamphetamine — a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use or analyze methamphetamine — a second felony.

Jenner was also given credit for spending 64 days in jail awaiting her appearance  in court.
