A Bald Knob man was pulled over for speeding Saturday night, June 16, on North St. Louis Street in Independence County, and he now faces eight violations including three felonies.

Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy John Marlow noted he was observing traffic when he saw a Chrysler 300 going 86 m.p.h. by a radar check. Marlow pulled over the vehicle and identified the driver as 36-year-old Glenn Don Martin of Bald Knob.

There were no passengers in the vehicle, but Marlow noted several drug paraphernalia items in the vehicle.

Later found on a vehicle search were: baggies of cocaine, methamphetamine, and several items of drug paraphernalia including three pill bottles containing a variety of pills, according to Marlow.

Martin was taken into custody and to the Independence County Jail.

Marlow said possible charges include:  possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia — all felonies while possible misdemeanor charges include: reckless driving, possession of instruments of crime, and obstructing governmental operations.
