Bald Knob man charged with a variety of felonies after Batesville traffic stop

A Bald Knob man is now in the Independence County Detention Center, awaiting his first court appearance after he was found to be in possession of a variety of drugs. (Click here for the original story.)

36-year-old Glenn Don Martin was stopped for speeding Saturday, June 16, by Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy John Marlow. During the stop, Marlow saw drugs and drug paraphernalia in the front seat area of Martin’s vehicle.  A search found other illegal drugs in the vehicle.

Martin is charged in Independence County Circuit Court with five drug-related felonies including: one count each of possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, methamphetamine, Schedule C  and Schedule D illegal pills including codeine and lorazepam.  He is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia used to introduce methamphetamine and cocaine into the human body. Martin’s bond has been set at $15,000.
