Stone, Independence, Cleburne, and Lawrence counties were among 24 counties who shared $l.7 million dollars in Courthouse Restoration Grants.
Stone received: $111,929. Cleburne received: $40,000. Independence County: $54,600. Lawrence County: $215,730.
Altogether, the Arkansas Historic Preservation program, awarded $2.9 million dollars in grants for projects in 58 Arkansas counties through its County Courthouse Restoration, Historic Preservation Restoration and Main Street Downtown Revitalization Grant programs.
Twenty-one Main Street Arkansas programs shared $315,000. in grant money. Each program received a $15,000 grant.
