He practiced his craft for over 50 years, and for all of those years, you could depend on Billy Dean Sullivan. He would be right there in his barber shop, providing the service, and keeping up with what was going on in Batesville. Bill Sullivan passed away this (July 5) morning at the age of 77.

Sullivan’s son-in-law, Bob Connell, said Bill made lots of first cuts and last cuts as well.  He said on Bill’s last day in the shop, he performed his last haircut and then went straight to the hospital, and then to hospice, and then passed away on July 5.

Visitation has been set for Friday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Qualls Batesville Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.

Arrangements are being handled by Qualls Batesville Funeral Home.
