Three men escaped sometime between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning from the Sharp County Jail at Ash Flat and are still on the lam, according to authorities.

The three were noticed missing when staff members were conducting Wednesday morning jail checks.

The escapees are:  18-year-old Robert Lynn Pollard of Evening Shade, incarcerated for fleeing on foot, escape, possession of a controlled substance, and alcohol-related charges; 31-year-old Randall Paul Sledge of Conway who was in jail for fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot, and charges from other agencies; and, 25-year-old Christopher John Frey, Jr., of Horseshoe Bend, incarcerated for criminal use of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and theft by receiving.

Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts says if you know the whereabouts or have information on any or all of the three escapees, contact the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department at (870) 994-7356.

UPDATE: Areawide Media’s Facebook page notes the Arkansas State Police spotted two of the escapees in Horseshoe Bend.

“The officer chased the vehicle and it wrecked. At least two suspects bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The ADC, Sharp County Sheriff’s Department, ASP and Izard County Sheriff’s Department are currently searching the area,” the post from Areawide Media reads.
