A Mountain View man has been charged with three felonies and a Class A misdemeanor as the result of an incident on July 14 involving his girlfriend and her son.
29-year-old Carson W. Keel is accused of striking Mary Cossey’s son, and then pulling a loaded pistol, pointing it at her, and threatening her, according to authorities. Cossey provided a written statement to police, detailing what happened that night.
Keel is charged with terroristic threatening, aggravated assault of a household member — second-degree battery, and endangering the welfare of a minor. The prosecution is also asking for an enhanced penalty since a felony was committed involving an assault on a household member in the presence of a child.
Keel’s bond was set at $20,000.
