Anger was the catalyst that led to a man committing crimes which led to a negotiated plea of guilty in Stone County Circuit Court.
39-year-old Christopher Lynn Mitchell (above) pleaded to four counts of aggravated assault; one count of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer; three counts of terroristic threatening; one count of impairing the operation of a vital public facility, resisting arrest, and first-degree criminal mischief.
Mitchell was sentenced to 72 months in prison and was fined $2,500 plus court and other costs. He was credited with spending 47 days in jail awaiting his court date.
In another case, 34-year-old Brett R. Crisel (above) entered a negotiated plea of guilty to two counts of possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance and five months later, another count of possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 60 months in prison and given credit for 109 days spent in jail. He was also fined $2500 — plus costs.
And, 22-year-old Gadel Shai Bigham (above) was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail on contempt of court charges. She was also fined $500 plus $520 court and other costs, for a total of $1,020.
