An Independence County woman faces several charges after an Aug. 3 accident on Hilly Village Road.
Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy Ben Burnett said 53-year-old Denise R. Shands was driving a truck on Hilly Village Road and apparently struck another vehicle head-on.
Burnett said charges include: DWI, driving on a suspended driver’s license, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to the vehicles involved.
After being taken to the White River Medical Center, Shands was then transported to jail.
All charges against Shands are misdemeanors.
