A Mountain View woman has been charged with stealing from her employer and as a result, has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with 33 felonies.

The court information says Jurushia Ellen Osborn, 44, while in charge of the books for The Dulcimer Shoppe, altered the books to reflect higher payouts and stole $51,151.48 between Jan. 1, 2016 and July 17, of 2017. The information goes on to say Osborn used debit and credit cards that belong to The Dulcimer Shoppe for business purposes, not personal purposes. Between the dates of January 2017 and June of 2017, Osborn used those cards to make approximately $4,163.89 in personal purchases, according to the documents. Those purchases were linked to an Amazon account for The Dulcimer Shoppe.

The court documents also say Osborn entered the petty cash box during 30 different occasions and made 30 different transactions to take cash out for personal purchases that were altered in the QuickBooks accounting program to show a business transaction.

Jurushia Ellen Osborn is charged with one count of theft of property; two counts of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card; and 30 counts of breaking or entering into the petty cash box.

The court record said she will also be charged under the Habitual Offender Act, having previously been convicted of one or more but less than four felonies.

Osborn’s bond has been set at $75,000.
