Woman killed after head-on collision with 18-wheeler in Sharp County

An 18-year-old woman was killed and a man and minor child injured when two vehicles collided head-on in Sharp County.

In his preliminary report, Cpl. Benjamin A. Rapert with the Arkansas State Police, said a 1999 Ford was traveling south on Hwy .63 near Both Creeks Road in Sharp County when it crossed the centerline and struck an 18 wheeler head-on.

The driver of the Ford, 21-year-old Devin Browning of Corning and a minor passenger were injured while a female passenger, 18-year-old Perdenia Y. Hill, was killed. Browning and the minor were rushed to a Memphis hospital.

Cpl. Rapert said the weather was clear and the roadway dry when the accident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug 18.
