An Independence County parolee was found to be in possession of a controlled substance during a home visit by probation and parole officers.

Officers Brian Gould and Cory McCullough made a home visit in Sulphur Rock to the residence of 53-year-old Todd Wayne Bales. During the visit, Bales was found to have a clear hard plastic container in his left front pocket with a blue crystal substance inside of it.

Officer Kyle Tucker was called to the address where he field tested the substance which tested positive as methamphetamine.
