A Mountain View High School male student has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with felony terroristic threatening in the first degree.

The court information says the student, 18-year-old Kristian Horton, on Monday, Aug. 20, made a statement to another student that he was going to slit the other student’s throat and drink his blood.

The threat was turned in to the Mountain View Police Department by the school resource officer, Keenan Glenn. The report said it was determined that there were no underlying issues with the victim that caused Horton to make the statement.

Horton was placed in the Stone County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
