Batesville Parks and Rec offers youth volleyball registration

batesville-parks-1-2

The Batesville Parks and Recreation Department is offering registration through Sept. 26 for the department’s youth volleyball program for the fall. Practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday in October, games will be every Wednesday and Friday in November, and the season will conclude on Nov. 29.

The youth volleyball program is a developmental, recreational league made up of girls in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades and is designed to encourage athletic activity and provide the necessary skills to play volleyball — passing, setting and hitting, notes a press release from the department. Teams are randomly assigned and coached by local high school coaches and players.

Registration fees are $35 per child. Included in the registration fee are a volleyball jersey and practice volleyball for the child to keep.

For more information, visit batesvilleparks.com or call the Batesville Community Center at (870) 698-2427.
