Two previously convicted sex offenders charged in Stone County Circuit Court

newsbackground-1-52

Two Stone County men — both previously convicted sex offenders — have been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with not registering properly or not verifying registration.

Circuit court records say 22-year-old Mark Wayne Martin, during a home visit, was found not to be occupying a residence to which he previously registered and failing to report his job change.

Circuit court documents also accuse 33-year-old Matthew A. Hayes with not reporting some social media sites he has on his phone as required by law.

The violations by Martin and Hayes are felonies. Both had arrest warrants issued.

Martin’s bond was set at $10,000, and Hayes bond is $15,000.
