Two people involved in a domestic incident in Michigan, an incident in which Cass County, Mich. authorities had decided to prosecute, left that county in a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck rented from a vehicle rental company.
The truck and other items ended up in Independence County, Ark, with the truck found in the parking area of the Batesville Walmart store.
Court documents said in addition to the truck, other items reported missing included a cell phone, an English bulldog, and some other smaller items that were found in the truck.
At the close of the investigation, two men were charged: 28-year-old Dominic Aldo Izzi and 41-year-old Jeromy Daniel Bunch.
Bunch is charged with two counts of theft by receiving, and Izzi is charged with two counts of theft by receiving, resisting arrest, and fleeing on foot.
Bunch was placed on a $25,000 bond and Izzi on a $100,000 bond.
Both men are in the Independence County Jail.
