A woman who lives on Brushy Creek Road called the Stone County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 6 and said her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend had been using drugs in her residence, and she wanted them out.

Sheriff Lance Bonds, along with deputies Zach Alexander and George Bethell, and Probation Officer Ben Lockard went to the residence and found Tara Prestenback and Ardy Reed sleeping upstairs in the spare bedroom. During a search, officers found marijuana and methamphetamine. When asked who the drugs belonged to, according to authorities, Reed said the drugs were his.

Reed was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, a felony. He was placed on a $10,000 bond.
