A two-vehicle crash near Batesville, Saturday, Sept. 15, claimed the life of a Cabot resident and injured another, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Kristie M. Talley, 46, of Cabot was the passenger on a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Terry Blanton, 43, of Judsonia. The motorcycle was heading south on U.S. Hwy. 167 near Bowman Lane around 1 p.m. when a 2006 Dodge Durango attempted to make a northbound left turn as it pulled out of a private driveway. Blanton’s motorcycle struck the Durango in the driver’s side, according to the ASP report.
Blanton was injured and transported to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. ASP Cpl. Robert J Stewart reported the weather conditions clear and the road conditions dry.
