Warrant sweep in Independence County yields 11 arrests Monday


Three agencies conducted a warrant sweep Monday, Sept. 17,  in Independence County. Arkansas Community Corrections Probations & Parole, the Independence County Sherriff’s Department and the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force arrested 11 individuals within the county and the city of Batesville, according to a press release from authorities.

Charges are being filed that range from possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms, intent to deliver, unlawful use of a communications device, an absconder warrant, and other misdemeanor charges.

According to the release, all three agencies combined have sized over ten pounds of methamphetamines and over $50,000 in cash.
