The community is invited to a major fundraiser for the Humane Society of Independence County. It will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverside Park in Batesville and is called: “Bark in the Park.”
The society is in need of funds to continue its operation, so the fundraiser comes at a pivotal time, according to Lynn Mackarick, a volunteer with the Humane Society of Independence County.
