A Batesville woman was killed this afternoon (Oct. 17) and another person injured when the vehicle the woman was driving crashed into an oncoming truck in the other lane, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Jessica Y. Moore, 40, was driving south on Arkansas State Highway 233, just north of the Miller Creek Bridge in Batesville, when her Chevrolet Impala crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and struck a GMC truck, causing the truck to come to a final rest in the ditch, according to the preliminary crash summary from the ASP.
The driver of the truck was taken to White River Medical Center for injuries.
The ASP reported road conditions were dry and the weather was clear at the time of the accident.
